Can anyone help, Ive been trying to search for a particular dancers results and just cant seem to do it. All I can now find is compare dancers, and I cant even get that to work. As a computer illiterate Im finding the new layout really frustrating!

Try to search using the right hand side search box. Type the dancers name (or a part of a name) and click the button 'go'. This search produces a couple list. Then click on a couple

Thanks Admin. I have read the notes on the rating system but would like to ask another question. Is the rating (red and blue arrows) judged on a couples performance at that competition or simpy based on the results of the couples above and below them and then taken on how they compared to those couples in previous competitions ???

AFAIK currently all it means is which way the couple's rating have changed becuase of this result. I.e. if the couple's rating have fallen, a downward arrow is displayed, if the rating have increased, an upward arrow is displayed.
Weather the rating of this couple will have risen or fallen, depends on a number of things. Basically, couples on the top of the result list will have a higher probability that their rating have increased and vica versa. How does this work with newly formed partnerships though.???
I have a keen interest in one Amateur couple who have only as yet competed in 2 competitions. In the one they have a red arrow (upwards) in the other a blue arrow (downwards). I dont quite understand how they can be compared to other couples when they have never competed against them before. Sorry to seem ignorant but I really want to know all aspects of the rating system as I think it is a brilliant and interesting concept .

Due to the algorythm used, the first couple of competitions this couple's rating will not be sensible, it is just "priming itself". As this coouple competes more and more data is entered into the database, the calculation becomes more precise and the rating more realistic. If You read through the link I have provided, the concept of the calculation is quite well described there.
